GODIBATCH IMP 4800-725

NEW! Impact Modifier for Higher Impact Strength and Improved Low-Temperature Resistance

Greater impact strength for thermoplastics

GODIBATCH IMP 4800-725 – targeted impact modification for injection molding and extrusion

The mechanical requirements placed on plastics extend beyond strength and stiffness.

Impact loads, notch effects, and low temperatures in particular can cause a material to behave significantly more brittlely in use than desired.

With GODIBATCH IMP 4800-725, Godiplast offers a functional impact modifier designed to improve the mechanical and elastic properties of thermoplastics.

What properties can be improved?

  • Impact strength
  • Low-temperature impact strength
  • Flexibility
  • Biaxial elongation
  • Environmental stress cracking resistance
  • Reduced notch sensitivity
  • Resistance to splitting

By creating a highly elastic phase within the polymer matrix, the impact behavior of the material can be specifically improved.

Effective even at low temperatures

Thanks to its low glass transition temperature of below –45 °C, GODIBATCH IMP 4800-725 can improve the low-temperature performance of various polymers at temperatures down to approximately –40 °C.

Broad polymer compatibility

PP · HDPE · LDPE · PA 6 · PA 6.6 · PET

POM and ABS may also be suitable following preliminary testing.

Suitable for extrusion and injection molding, with thermal stability at processing temperatures of up to 280 °C.

Recommended dosage: 2–15%, depending on the polymer and the desired property level.
