Cork Compounds
Polycork – Technically versatile cork compounds from Godiplast
With POLYCORK, Godiplast offers an innovative compound that combines the advantages of natural cork with the industrial processability of thermoplastics. The material impresses with its functionality, sustainability and freedom of design – while at the same time being easy to process in established manufacturing processes.
POLYCORK: Technology Meets Nature
POLYCORK is a natural fiber-reinforced compound developed from cork and thermoplastics. It is highly versatile and can be easily processed using injection molding or extrusion – without the need for complex special procedures. This enables cost-effective production of both technical and design-oriented applications.
Applications for POLYCORK
Thanks to its technical and aesthetic qualities, POLYCORK is suitable for a wide range of uses, including:
- Handles & Holders: Sports equipment, tools, household items
- Design objects: Bowls, trays, plant pots, or toys
- 2K applications: e.g., overmolding on TPE, PP, or PE
- Technical profiles: In sheet, strip, or tape form (via extrusion)
Easy Processing
POLYCORK can be processed like a conventional thermoplastic. For optimal results, pre-drying at 70 °C for 2–3 hours is recommended.
POLYCORK – Natural. Functional. Future-Ready.
With POLYCORK, Godiplast demonstrates that sustainable materials and industrial efficiency are not mutually exclusive. Whether for functional components or design-focused product lines – this material is the right choice for forward-thinking product development.
