Rodent bites not only lead to repair costs, but also to downtime and safety risks. Rodent-repellent masterbatches help prevent this type of damage and are especially suitable for applications that are used permanently in rodent-prone environments.

Non-lethal & responsible

Rodent Repellent relies on a repellent rather than a rodenticide:

• Animals are deterred, not killed

• No disruption of ecosystems through poison bait or traps

• No risk of secondary poisoning for other animals

Technology that stays in the material

The active ingredients are incorporated into the plastic matrix as a masterbatch (e.g., PP, PE, or PVC):

• Active ingredients remain firmly bound within the plastic

• Mechanical properties and performance are maintained

• Suitable for long-term stable applications such as cables, pipes, films, and packaging

Key benefits at a glance

• Colorless & odorless (optionally also with fragrances such as lemon, mint, pepper)

• Deterrent effect through a very bitter taste

• Typical dosage: approx. 1–5% (depending on the application)

• Processing: for thermoplastics such as PP/PE/PVC, up to approx. 220°C

• Storage: dry, ≤ 30°C, shelf life approx. 12 months

• Pipes & installations: supply and drainage pipes, protective/conduit pipes, cable protection systems
