2 Purpose of processing and legal bases

2.1 Automatically processed web server data
When visiting our website, our web server automatically stores a range of log information. We use this data solely for statistical purposes, system security reasons (e.g., protection against misuse), and error diagnosis. The automatically processed data includes:

• IP address of the requesting computer
• Name of the accessed page
• Access status (file transferred, file not found, etc.)
• Operating system used
• Language used and name of the Internet Service Provider
• Time of access
• Data volume transmitted
• Type and version of the browser used
• Website from which the file was accessed

This data is stored only temporarily, typically for 7 days, and only longer in exceptional problem situations until the issues are resolved. The legal basis for processing is Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, as ensuring the functionality of the website is of particular interest to our company.

 2.2. Cookies

Our website uses cookies. Cookies are text files that are stored in the internet browser or by the internet browser on the user’s computer system. When a user visits a website, a cookie may be stored on the user’s operating system. This cookie contains a unique string of characters that allows the browser to be uniquely identified when the website is accessed again.
We use cookies to make our website more user-friendly. Some elements of our website require the calling browser to be identifiable even after navigating to a different page.
The legal basis for processing cookie data is Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, as long as the technical functionality of the website depends on these cookies, which is in the particular interest of our company.
For cookie data processed without a technically necessary requirement, we will first ask for your consent in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR.
Cookies are stored on the user’s computer and transmitted to our website. As a user, you therefore have full control over the use of cookies. By changing the settings in your internet browser, you can disable or restrict the transmission of cookies. Cookies that have already been stored can be deleted at any time, either manually or automatically. However, if cookies are disabled for our website, some functions of the website may no longer be fully available.

 2.3. Google Analytics Tool
We use the software tool Google Analytics on our website to analyze the browsing behavior of our users. The software places a cookie on the user’s computer (see above for cookies). When individual pages of our website are accessed, the following data is stored:
(1) Two bytes of the IP address of the user’s requesting system
(2) The accessed webpage
(3) The website from which the user arrived at the accessed webpage (referrer)
(4) The subpages accessed from the visited webpage
(5) The duration of stay on the webpage
(6) The frequency of visits to the webpage

The software runs exclusively on the servers of our website. The personal data of users is only stored there. No data is shared with third parties.
The software is configured in such a way that the IP addresses are not fully stored; instead, 2 bytes of the IP address are masked (e.g., 192.168.xxx.xxx). This way, it is no longer possible to associate the shortened IP address with the requesting computer.

The legal basis for processing the personal data of users is Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. The processing of personal data allows us to analyze the browsing behavior of our users. By evaluating the collected data, we are able to compile information about the use of individual components of our website. This helps us continuously improve our website and its user-friendliness. Our legitimate interest in processing the data is in these purposes, as outlined in Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. The anonymization of the IP address sufficiently addresses the users’ interest in protecting their personal data.
The data will be deleted as soon as they are no longer needed for our recording purposes, specifically no later than after 1095 days.

 2.4. Contact Form
Our website features a contact form that can be used for electronic communication. If a user utilizes this option, the data entered in the input fields will be transmitted to us and stored. The data to be processed can be found in the contact form.
Your consent is obtained during the submission process for the processing of the data, and reference is made to this privacy policy.
We explicitly point out that the transmission of this data to us may occur partially unencrypted. Therefore, we kindly ask that you do not send any special categories of personal data (e.g., health data) via the contact form; please use secure methods, such as postal mail, for this purpose.
The legal basis for the processing of the data is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR if the user has given consent. If the user’s consent is not obtained, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR applies as the legal basis, whereby the company’s legitimate interest lies in the proper processing of communication data sent to it.

The processing of the personal data from the input mask serves us solely to process the contact request. The other personal data processed during the sending process is used to prevent misuse of the contact form and to ensure the security of our information technology systems.
The data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose for which it was collected.

 2.5 Contact by e-mail
You are welcome to contact us by e-mail. We expressly point out that this data is sent to us unencrypted. We therefore ask that you do not send us any special categories of personal data (e.g. health data) by e-mail; please use secure channels such as the postal service.
The legal basis for the processing of data transmitted in the course of sending an email is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. If the e-mail contact is aimed at the conclusion of a contract, the additional legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR. In the case of contact by email, this also constitutes the necessary legitimate interest in the processing of the data.
The data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose for which it was collected. Insofar as e-mails are to be regarded as business letters or could be relevant for tax purposes, statutory retention periods of up to 10 years apply.

 2.6. Newsletter
You can subscribe to a free newsletter on our website. When you register for the newsletter, the data from the input screen is transmitted to us. This includes the e-mail address and other data shown in the input mask.
Your consent is obtained for the processing of the data as part of the registration process and reference is made to this privacy policy. The data will be used exclusively for sending the newsletter. The legal basis for the processing of data after registration for the newsletter is consent.

The collection of this data as part of the registration process serves to prevent misuse of the services or the e-mail address used. This is a legitimate interest of the company.
The data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose for which it was collected. The user’s e-mail address will therefore be stored for as long as the subscription to the newsletter is active, and thereafter for 3 years for verification purposes. The subscription to the newsletter can be canceled by the user concerned at any time. For this purpose, there is a corresponding link in every newsletter.

2.7 Registration
Some of the services and features that we offer on our sites require information from you in order to use them.

When you register, we ask for your name, company, city, postal code, country, fax number, e-mail address and other identifying features.
In addition to registration, we also ask you for personal information on other occasions, namely when you use our services, when you post a classified ad and when you report a problem with one of our sites or services.

Insofar as this has not already been described, we generally delete data when the purpose of the processing has been fulfilled. If statutory retention periods exist, we may only delete data after these periods have expired. Otherwise, we store data if there is an overriding operational interest.

 2.8. Google Maps

This website uses the product Google Maps from Google Inc. By using this website, you consent to the collection, processing and use of the automatically collected data by Google Inc, its representatives and third parties.
You can find the terms of use of Google Maps under “Terms of use of Google Maps”.

 2.9 Use of Google Fonts
This website uses the product Google Fonts from Google Inc. By using this website, you consent to the collection, processing and use of the automatically collected data by Google Inc, its representatives and third parties.

 3. Recipient of your data
In addition to the aforementioned recipients, we have commissioned specialized service providers to support us in the operation of our websites, including web hosts, software providers, system administrators and data center operators. They only have access to personal data to the extent absolutely necessary for the provision of the services.

 4. Your Rights
You have the right to receive information about the personal data concerning you. You can also request the correction of incorrect data.
In addition, under certain conditions, you have the right to erasure of data, the right to restriction of data processing, the right to object and the right to data portability.
Your data is processed on the basis of legal regulations. We only require your consent in exceptional cases. In these cases, you have the right to withdraw your consent for future processing.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
